Detroit Lake!!!

Meet Detroit Lake. AHHHH.... This is actually the back end of the lake but whatever, still beautiful!

OH DETROIT LAKE! What else can I say besides the fact that this lake is amazing! AND.. the campsite/campground we had was amazing. Big thanks to my good friend, Eric who reserved the site. It was a fun filled weekend with great friends, good times and lots of beer. What more could you ask for??? OH, fishing!! We fished too! We forgot Makenna's fishing pole that she got from her Oldpa & Oldma at Christmas but I think she's still too little to cast. :) We went camping from Thursday, June 4th to Monday, June 8th. Talk about a good time!!! Enjoy the pictures!
Makenna watching Daddy start a fire... She was really paying attention!!
She got her own camping chair. This picture is deceiving because she really hated it! It tips over when she tries to get out of it... She'll figure it out soon enough. Someone discovered pinecones.... See???"Do they make noise?? Let me shake 'em a bit... ""Hmmm... they don't make noise. Here Aimee...."Taking a walk around the loop with Miss Boop (Belle)Poser. She really wanted to try on Jo's helmet. Good times. She kept trying to escape down a trail in between 2 of the sites.... Daddy gotcha Chunks!Howie had to leave Saturday to go to his friends bachelor party. Aimee and I went down to the lake with the kids and went fishing... Well, Aimee helped Makenna throw rocks in the lake while the rest of us fished. Thank you Aimee! Jo fishing... She's so sweet. :)
Belle standing guard.Meet Noah. He's my friend Wendy's son. He is such a sweetheart! He loves to talk but he's almost 4... it's to be expected. :)He's a little crazy too.....My favorite picture from the weekend... I told you.. MODELS!!Howie and Alex... Makenna eating crackers and enjoying the view.... Well, sort of. :)
I wonder... why do camping weekends go by 8 times faster than any typical weekend? We didn't want the trip to end. We had so much fun watching Makenna play, get dirty and explore. Does it get any better? I'm just not sure.

Aww - what great pictures! She seems so at home in the woods. Love the picture of her in her camping chair!
