Happy 1st Birthday Makenna!!!

Makenna,

Happy 1st Birthday to you, our little Punkin' Butt. It is so amazing how fast time has gone by and how much you've grown over the last 12 months. Everyday with you is entertaining and we absolutely couldn't have asked for a cuter, sweeter, happier daughter. You amaze us and crack us up on a daily basis. It feel like just yesterday we brought you home from the hospital. You weren't a big fan of the carseat! So not too much has changed....
We're so excited for your birthday party on Saturday. We can't wait for everyone to see you! It's going to be so much fun! We love you Chunky Monkey and can't wait to see what the next year has in store for us.

Love,
Mommy & Daddy

Makenna is almost one.....

It is so unreal how fast time goes by after you have a baby. It's sad! It feels like just yesterday we brought her home from the hospital. To look at her now, how much she's grown over the last 12 months is amazing. It seems like everytime she grows into a new phase of her life, we don't want it to end. Although, once she grows out of it we enjoy it so much we don't want that to end! She's walking now (she's almost completely given up on crawling) and she's turned into even more of a Tasmanian Devil! HAHA.. The house will go from clean to a disaster area in 3.5 seconds but we wouldn't have it any other way. ;)
Here are some 11 month photos.... It's hard to believe that she's going to be 1 in 3 days. What a trip. I can't wait to see what the next year will bring.

She's Bee-utiful!!
Playing with her "lawnmower".
Causing chaos with my DVD's
I think it's one of her favorite pastimes. ;)
Sweet face.
Tubby Time! Her favorite time of the day!
Check out that belly!! AHAHAHAHAHA!!!
This picture is great. That gigantic thing Makenna is trying to pick up is Aimee's purse. Yeah, a huge, heavy purse that Aimee carries around on a daily basis!!!
She's not angry here.. just looking outside. I love this picture!
Makenna trying to keep her and Belle's relationship alive.
Playing with a towel and being a ham!

Happy Almost 1st Birthday Makenna! We love you!

Clam Digging at Cape Disappointment and a huge milestone!

We went camping with Howie's parents and Uncle Luke (Howie's brother) a couple of weeks ago. We went up to Cape Disappointment in Ilwaco, WA (just north of Astoria). I absolutely love this campground. It seems like everytime we go to the coast, we're camping there. I don't mind it a bit! I took a few pictures for your viewing enjoyment.

Our first day out... It was sunny!
She liked being outside ;)
Touching a razor clam for the first time!
Beautiful picture of sunset with Marcie, Glen & Luke
Second day out... IT WAS COLD!!!!
Makenna and Grandpa in our trailer
My beautiful baby....
We had so much fun! I wish the weather was warmer but meh, what can you do right? The Washington coast in February? You get what you get. At least we have a trailer to keep warm in! OH, the big milestone that happened was..... She started walking the first night we were there!! She was taking about 5-8 steps at a time before we left but she decided that she wants to walk now! Pretty cool. Such a big girl. ;) Right in time for her birthday too.

Makenna eats.....

In-N-Out! Well, we shared some of our french fries with her and she couldn't get enough! What a little piggy! She has never been so demanding with food before until this... She wanted french fries, she wanted them now and she wanted to get them herself!!
Diggin' in.....

Mmmm.. those are good mommy!

How many more are in there?

She found them!

Too bad there aren't any In-N-Outs in Oregon or Washington. I love their cheeseburgers and fries. We were at the one in Stockton, CA. Being able to eat there is our treat to ourselves for the 12+ hour drive. We go everytime.

Happy 4th Birthday Ashton!!

Every year we drive down to California to celebrate my nephews' birthdays. Ashton's was on January 25 so we decided to head down. Typically I take like, a million photos but for some odd reason I just wasn't on top of it this year. Which makes me sad. :( I did manage to take a few though....

Jeanie made this cake!! She does such a wonderful job!

Gage playing with Makenna's doll. I think that I was trying to get a picture of the red dot in between his eyes caused by a button on Howie's shirt.

Makenna trying to eat a balloon. I think this is the first time she's touched one!

The birthday boy himself playing a game...

Makenna sharing her doll with Hunter... The boys loved the babydoll! ;)

Uncle Dale and Makenna after a long day...

There's that face again.. what a ham!

Oldma & Makenna right before we left to drive home. Makenna never wore her Micky Mouse ears the day before so she HAD to try them on.

Dale, Jeanie, Gage, Ashton, Oldpa & Oldma, Thank you for having us.. again! We appreciate all of you putting up with us. We had a great time and can't wait to see all of you for Makenna's first birthday. See you soon!

Love, Kristine, Howie, Makenna & Belle

10 months has come and gone...

I know that I haven't been the best at updating this lately. We've been out of town (more posts to come) and lucky for me, I've had some work. Money is always nice. I wanted to share a few pictures of Makenna being 10 months old. She's now moved onto 11 and her first birthday is approaching fast! We've reached some new milestones... She's learning new words. Her vocabulary is currently: Mom, mama, dad, da (dog), ish (fish), hi, hot. I'm sure I'm forgetting a couple but I'll let you know. She's been waving bye-bye for 4 months now but it's still too cute to not mention. If you say, "Makenna? Kiss?" She'll pucker up and make the kissy noise. I NEVER get tired of that. OH! If you ask for a hug she'll lay her head against yours and say, "Awwww!" She is still amazing as she was when we first laid eyes on her. I am definitely enjoying every moment (just not the ones at 4am. Daddy ususally enjoys those ones). Here are some pictures to enjoy!

Eating cheese- Her favorite!
This is one of her favorite faces to make.
See??
Makenna got a babydoll from my mom for Christmas. She loves her! If you ask her where her baby is, she'll go right to her and give her a hug....
This picture makes me laugh... Makenna has this patch of hair on the back left side of her head that grows faster than the other. Well, daddy has the same thing! This pic was taken before daddy cut his hair though. ;)
Another sweet smile picture. She's so happy!
I'm going to try to post a couple more today... We'll see if I can follow through!
