Hippity Hop!!

We love that Makenna is finally at the age where she semi-understands what the Easter Bunny is! We went and visited him at the mall which was going great until it came time to sit on his lap for a picture. That didn't go so well. She was afraid of him! Howie and I ended up having to sit on both sides of him for the picture. Boo! After we left the mall Makenna kept asking to see him again... SO, we went to see him again a week later and she did it again. Totally petrified of him. Oh well, maybe next year. Makenna did enjoy all the presents he left for her though. :) So did Daddy.
YAY for Oldpa & Oldma's Easter "basket"!!

What the Easter Bunny brought Makenna.....

Her reaction.... She was stoked!!!

Silly girl....

and silly Daddy!

HAPPY EASTER!

Little Miss Two...

I know that it's been over a month since my last post but I'm bombarding the blog with updates. Better to get it all done in one night than to not post at all, right? I'm beginning to not know what to say! I've said it all in the last few posts. :) Well, her 24th month of life has also flown by. She's getting so big and learning soooo many new words. She's putting together 5+ word sentences. That's our little chunko! Ahead of the game... She's also learned the words to Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now". Super cute to hear her sing it.. video will be posted soon. Enjoy the photos!
She is in love with the card that Uncle Dale, Aunt Jeanie, Gage & Ashton got her for her birthday. It sings the "Winnie the Pooh" song and she sings along. TOO CUTE!

Oldpa and Makenna like to nap together. :)

HAHA! Falling asleep next to cheese... sounds like something her Mommy would do! Such an amazing smile.

DIVA!

We went to Eric and Rachelle's for a BBQ.. The girls come out in princess dresses. It was the cutest thing ever! I think Makenna is ready to own some dress up clothes.

Our sweetpea.

Lots of Love.

More of Makenna's 2nd birthday...

How lucky is Makenna? I'll tell you! The night of her birthday her Uncle Dale, Aunt Jeanie and cousins Gage and Ashton arrived at our house. They drove all day just to make it up for her birthday celebration. The next day Grandma & Grandpa Howard and Uncle Luke arrived then early Saturday morning, Oldpa & Oldma got into town too! What a loved little girl she is. :) We had a full house but we wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
Even Scooby made it up!
Present time!

This present is a still a daily hit in our house.. 2 months later. Window crayons=big fun! Thank you Uncle Dale, Aunt Jeanie, Gage & Ashton!

Makenna and her Uncle "Uke"

So, Friday evening I (Kristine) sprained my ankle. Nothing beats a 2am visit to the ER. Thanks to Vicodin, a brace and crutches I was able to attend Makenna's birthday party. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures at the party itself. :( I'm so sad about that but there are a few people that did take photos. I'll try my hardest to get them on here. Check out this photo...

Makenna had sympathy pain... She needed to put up her ankle too and ice it. Such a sweet baby girl. I love that she's ours.

We love her.

A big THANK YOU to everyone that came to her birthday party!

She's TWO!!!

It is so hard to believe that our little girl is already two! It is crazy how fast time has flown and it's sad to look at the pictures of her first year but we are enjoying every stage and documenting it with lots of pictures. :) Her birthday fell on Thursday and Mommy had to work. I was sad but I decided to go get her some balloons, cupcakes and a couple of presents after work. She was pleasantly surprised!
We got her Disney Princess Dinnerware and a Bubble Making Machine! She was stoked! We had lots of fun with the bubbles. :)Next on the agenda?? CUPCAKES!! She actually blew the candle out! AND.... Ate the cupcake! That was a first! HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY MAKENNA!
Love,
Mommy & Daddy

Great Grandma's 85th birthday!

The weekend before Makenna's 2nd birthday we went to Desert Aire, WA to celebrate Great Grandma's 85th birthday (Howie's Grandma)! Everyone on Howie's Mom's side was there. It was so nice to get together with everyone to celebrate. I wish we could do it more often...
Great Grandma blowing out her candles. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

The Eccher sisters- Melissa, Marty, Michelle & Marcie

Aunt Melissa has an awesome pond at the house and Makenna was super excited when she was invited to feed the fish. :) Here she is running over to Aunt Melissa..

We decided to take Makenna for a walk down to the river.. it was such a sunny day but it was cold!!!

Throwing rocks with Daddy

The gorgeous view...

Until next time!
