BABY SHOWER!

Erica and Aimee threw me a baby shower on March 10th. Can you believe I've actually caught up on the blog?? I'm patting myself on the back right now! Back to the subject.... It was a small group of us, Erica called it a "Baby Sprinkle" instead of a shower since we didn't need much. The baby and I received so many wonderful things! Diaper, wipes, bottles, binkies, clothes, baby book, the list goes on and on! I can't thank everyone enough! It was a perfect "sprinkle" to welcome baby girl #2. :) OH, Oldma, Aunt Jeanie, Uncle Dale, Gage & Ashton drove up to surprise me!! I'm hard to surprise so I had a sneaking suspicion they were coming but I didn't know for sure. So a gigantic thank you to them for coming up!!

They also bought Makenna a little something too! A baby doll set that came with a bassinet and a ride-on horse!
Makenna and Miss Molly. Love her!
Thank you Tiffany for the adorable hat!!

Awesome blanket that Gage & Ashton made for their new cousin!

Thank you to Aimee & Erica for putting on this shower for me. I was perfect! I'm so lucky to have friends like you.. Well, I'm pretty lucky that ALL of my friends are awesome!

AND thank you to my mom! You were such a wonderful help bringing all of the food you did and the adorable, delicious cake! I love you Mom!

To all of my ladies that came.. I LOVE YOU TOO!!!

Love,
Kristine

Pregnancy....

Well, where do I begin? We found out that we were expecting baby #2 on July 30th! I had just driven home from Bend with Makenna and decided to take a pregnancy test. Much to my surprise, it was positive. Howie was at work so I took a picture of the test and text it to him. He was just as shocked and excited as I was! We went into this pregnancy extremely cautious since we had miscarried only 5-6 months before. It had been a long two years of disappointment but we finally got another positive!!

Our first appointment was scheduled and we were extremely nervous. My doctor was willing to see me earlier than 8 weeks just to make sure that the baby (if there was one) was developing properly. We were able to see a tiny little speck which was such a relief but since my doctor is so amazing and wonderful when it comes to reassurance she told us to come back in 2 weeks so we can check again and this is what we saw at our 2nd appointment!

A healthly little bean!! So amazing!! I had some concern a couple of weeks later and I was able to get another ultrasound! It looks like the Howard Family definitely has another little babe on the way!

Ultrasounds are my most favorite thing in the whole world! I love being able to see the baby grow. It is amazing. :) Well, on November 11th we had our big anatomy & gender scan. This is when we found out that "it" is a girl!! We were thrilled! Makenna was adamant that she was having a baby sister so good thing it worked out in her favor!

Here SHE is!

On January 16th we went and paid for an elective 3D ultrasound. We did the same thing when I was pregnant with Makenna but this time I was slightly disappointed in the photos. We couldn't see her very well, the technician said she had her face smooshed against the placenta. This was the best photo we could get.

From what we can see, she looks just like Makenna did when she was born! Only a few more days to go and we'll know for sure. We are so excited to meet her!!

Here are a couple of pictures of me. I am 29 weeks pregnant in the left photo and 36 weeks pregnant in the right.

We can't wait to meet you baby girl!! You're more than welcome to come anytime!

Love,
Mommy & Daddy

Makenna's 4th Birthday!!

I know that I say this every single year but I can't believe that Makenna is another year older.. Our baby is 4!! It's crazy how fast time goes by when you have a little person to put a timeline on. I sure as heck don't feel any older but watching her grow definitely reminds me that I'm slowly turning into an old lady. :)

Makenna received a package in the mail! It was from Aunt Melissa and Uncle John in Desert Aire, WA! Thank you!!

Sunshine Pizza was the place we held her birthday party again. She insisted of having it at home but our house isn't even close to being big enough to have 30+ people in. Especially with her birthday being in February. Too cold to go outside! Sunshine Pizza is extremely accomodating, free to reserve and their pizza is reasonably priced. We enjoy it there. :)

Present time!

Baby Rapunzel doll from Aunt Jeanie, Uncle Dale, Gage & Ashton.
She said, "I've wanted this for years!!"

Olivia house from Oldpa & Oldma!

Happy 4th Birthday to our little princess!!!

Can you believe it? We're in 2012!!

Finally! Phew! I can't believe I let myself get so behind! I think it helps that we finally got a new computer (in September but that's minor details) that is so much faster! Here are some of the things we did in January.

Being cute is what Makenna is good at. :)

 Fun times with Daddy

 SNOW! Can you see it??

We celebrated Christmas at our house with Obachan, Grandpa Don, Uncle Bob, Aunt Alicia, Sophie, Alex, Auntie Amy and Uncle Dan! It was awesome to have everyone over at our house. I believe that I made spaghetti. :)

Sophie and Kenna got matching dresses!!

Bathtime with Daddy! They were pouring freezing cold water on each other.. They're crazy!

Grandpa Howard made Makenna her very own big girl bed!! Such an exciting day when he came!!

Christmas in California!

After we celebrated our Christmas in Gladstone, we headed south down to Oldpa & Oldma's to celebrate Christmas down there. We stayed for a week and had a blast! No snow this time around.. Just lots of sunshine and warm weather! Most people would say that they prefer the sunshine over snow but I don't. Especially at Christmas!

Morning!

Snuggling with her Oldpa.

 Hungry Hungry Hippos!!

Scooby & Katie

A couple of days after Christmas we drove up the hill to check out the beautiful light display these people do every year. Amazing how many lights they had there.

Enjoying the sunshine!

Oldpa wanted to take us to look for crystals. One of the nurses at the hospital he goes to has property with a few gold mines on it. We were able to scale up this gigantic hill to look for crystals flaked with gold. It was pretty cool and interesting to watch my pregnant self hike the hill!

We had a blast while we were there! I just wished we all lived closer to one another. :(
