We wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! Also, tomorrow is Makenna's 10 month birthday! YAY! We had her pictures done today and they look great... as always. She is too cute for words.

Arctic Blast 2008!

As you all know, we've been dumped with snow!!! We are loving every single, stinking second of it! I wish we had a snowsuit for Makenna but we obviously weren't prepared. It's been snowing nonstop since Saturday. This is the most snow Portland has seen since 1968. FREAKING AMAZING!!! Check out these photos....

We decided to leave today and try to go to the mall (Clackamas Town Center) to see Santa Claus. Well, evidentally Santa couldn't get his sleigh to the mall. Are you serious Santa? Here are some pictures on our way there.

We got to the mall and back safely. We're going to go again tomorrow to see if Santa was able to dig his way out.... It's Makenna's first Christmas and SHE IS GOING TO MEET SANTA! Do you hear me Santa? You better be at Clackamas Town Center tomorrow or else we're going to Vancouver Mall to see..... your twin! ;)

We have some wonderful friends named Andy, Darla and Andrew. We visit them ALOT and we decided to get together to celebrate and early Christmas together. We went to their house on Saturday evening. Darla made such a wonderful Christmas dinner... ham, green beans, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, stuffing, rolls, deviled eggs (my favorite!) and lots of snacky foods. Thank you Darla! We had such a great time with them and I wanted to share some pictures. I hope you all enjoy! ;)

Another day in the snow..

We had another snow day! We are currently having another storm as I type but that's another blog coming soon.... There is a horse that lives across the street from our house and Makenna loves to look at him. He was hanging out by the fence so we decided to go over and say hi to him.

I have to say that we are definitely enjoying the snow outside (Aunt Amy isnt' cause she's a wimp)! Oh, the date stamp on my camera was off by a day so these pics were actually taken on the 18th.

Our day today

Being in the house all day is pretty boring... unless you live with Punkin' Butt! It's always fun to take pictures of the new things that she's doing.

1) Feeding the dog. Remember my post from a week ago where Makenna and Belle were beginning a love-hate relationship? Well, I think that it's turned into love on Belle's part. Makenna has gotten the hang of feeding Belle her (Makenna's) food. I have to say that I think Belle appreciates it!

2) Pointing at EVERYTHING possible and has included it in some dance moves! The pointing has been going on for a while but now if you say, "Makenna! Dance! Dance!" She bounces up and down and points.... Ah, ah, ah, ah, stayin' alive, stayin' alive.....

3) Playing with her cousin Sophie's Christmas presents.... Okay, so I need to wrap them ASAP but Makenna CAN NOT keep her hands off of this Pooh Phone. It talks to her, lights up... she loves it! I think that I need to talk to Santa Claus about getting her one. First toy we've bought in a LONG time that keeps her content for 20 minutes+!

4) Being a Secret Agent. Makenna can find EVERYTHING in the house that she's definitely not suppose to touch... Dog food, random cords.... My sister and I were watching TV today and Makenna decided it would be fun to wrap the cord uh, around her neck. I promise I'm not a bad mom and pay attention to her. Check out that smile!

5) She has learned how to crawl underneath her highchair.................

But she can't figure out how to get out of it! After about 2 minutes...............

She gets angry! Awwwwww..... Poor Punkin'! Aunt Amy saved the day though and took her out.

6) Sticking food to her eyelid. I was eating dinner next to her and when I looked up she had rice stuck to her eyelid. Look closely.... So funny!

That's about all Makenna did today but I want to show you my fabulous photo taking skills. I aim and shoot and here's the finished product. Most of my pictures look this way... Maybe I need to take a photography class. ;)

A hat....

Makenna LOVES hats... unless she realizes that you put it on. You have to sidetrack her on something while your putting it on.... I bought a new hat for myself at Target the other day and decided to try it on Makenna. She tried to pull it off and this is what happened....

When she tries to pull off hats, she pulls down so she covers her face. She wasn't a happy camper but she eventually figured out how to take if off!

Makenna's 1st snow!!!

We woke up to a winter wonderland this morning! We took Makenna outside and she was in awe! She kept pointing and babbling at the snow coming down. I tried to get some good pictures but it was difficult with the 20+ mile an hour wind gusts.... It is cold! We heard on the news that with the windchill it's approximately 17 degrees! So, after about 5 minutes we went back in.....

BUT.... We decided to go outside again after her nap. We got her bundled up (not as much as I should've but I don't have a snowsuit for her... yet!) and went out again.

I love, love, love the snow! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the snow won't melt and we'll get more on Wednesday! That's what the news channels are saying.... we'll see!!!! ;)
