Welcome!

Well, I've decided that since our family stretches up and down the west coast I would create this blog to keep everybody updated. Are you so excited?? I am! Okay... here's what has been going on in our life. Makenna is 9 months old now and I can't believe how fast time has flown by. It seems like only yesterday that I was pregnant with her.

We have had such an amazing time up to this point and I can't wait what other joy she's going to bring to our lives. She is crawling like a maniac now. I don't know where she learned to go warp speed but she cruises! We turn our backs for a second and she's at the sliding glass window making sure it's clean. I intended to put a picture here of her licking the sliding glass door but I've misplaced it! Oops.

We just recently took her to her 9 month check up.

She weighs 22lb. 14oz. and is 28 1/4" long! She is currently in the 90th percentile in weight and 75th in height. What a big girl. We have now been given the okay to feed her table food. After I use up what we have it is bye-bye baby food! We started giving her some real food when we went up to Howie's uncles house for Thanksgiving. She got to try some turkey, mashed potatoes, ham, bread and cheese. She's loved it!

Speaking of Thanksgiving... we had such a great time. The majority of Howie's dads side of the family hasn't seen Makenna since she was 2 months old! We stayed at Uncle Keith's house (Howie's dad's little brother) in Bellingham. Almost everyone was there and it was so nice to see them! I brought up this crab and shrimp dip that was delicious! I'm impressed that it all got eaten considering I made a batch of dip that could serve 50 people. It was a hit. ;)

I am such a space case... I realized last night that I didn't take ONE single picture of her on Thanksgiving. Her first Thanksgiving and I don't have one picture to show. That makes me sad. I did take some pictures throughout the weekend though, not as many as I would have liked to take. but here are some for your enjoyment.....

We had such a wonderful time. Thank you for reading my first blog and I hope that you'll keep coming back for more. I will keep this updated as much as possible. Makenna is growing so quick and I don't want anyone to miss out on one piece of her life. She is AMAZING.
