Gladstone Christmas!

For the 4th or 5th year in a row now, we headed up to Ringle & Son's Tree farm to pick out our perfect Christmas tree! They always have such a great selection of U-cut trees and are very reasonably priced. They even had a coupon this year. :)

Found our perfect tree!!

"Well, hello there!"

Set-up and decorations!

For Santa and his reindeer. Can't forget the carrots, right?

Christmas morning! Santa visited Makenna twice this year! Isn't that awesome of him? He must know that she has a little sister on the way and he needs to get a little spoiling out of the way. :)

Merry Belated Christmas! HAHA! This is fun. :)

October!

After we got back from Oldpa & Oldma's it was a pretty relaxing month! Being pregnant means being lazy. At least in my book!

Making Rice Krispy Treats!

Big 'ol rainbow! Look!!

Getting ready to bake cheap sugar cookies that don't taste very good.

I believe Oldpa came up for Sophie's birthday party but I can't remember considering October was MONTHS ago but I love this picture! We're just missing Gage & Ashton.

Getting ready to carve some pumpkins!

Rapunzel!!

Happy Belated Halloween everyone!

California in October

Makenna and I decided to head down south to visit everyone in California! It was our first road trip by ourselves and I must say, we did pretty good! I was nervous for the drive but luckily Makenna was perfect!

Who says you can't decorate eggs close to Halloween? It was a great activity for the kids to do AND I made deviled eggs out of them later. Yum.

Makenna was SO, SO excited to cut the thundereggs she dug up in Bend with her Oldpa! She didn't let Oldpa sit down very long.. She insisted they cut them the whole time we were there. Stinker.

Showing off her treasure.

The last thing we did while we were there was visit Cover's Apple Ranch. This is the 2nd time we've been there. The first time being in October '08! It had been a while and I couldn't wait to get my hands on some of their apple cider. It is delicious! You can check out their website here: www.coversappleranch.com

Feeding the birds...

I wish I could find the picture I have from 2008- Well, I'm sure I could find it if I took the time to look for it but I'm a little too lazy for that these days. It's Makenna, Gage & Ashton sitting on some hay bales when Makenna was only 8 months old. It's adorable. They've all gotten so big!

We decided to take the mini train ride they have there. Gage was the big man who had to sit in the back while the rest of us shared a caboose.

Goofy Goobers. All of them.

Always a good time!

August Adventures

August was a super busy month it seems! I just finally got to empty out my memory cards last night- the main reason why I've been so behind on the blog. The day after Oldpa's birthday party we all (Oldpa, Oldma, Dale, Jeanie, Gage, Ashton, Kenna and I- Howie was working) headed up to Mt. St. Helens! It had been YEARS since I had been there and of course, Makenna had never been. We drove up to the mountain, went to the museum up there, took pictures, went to lunch and then Oldpa, Kenna and I headed home while the remainder of the group decided to drive around the mountain.

Oldpa showing the kids the "earthquake monitor". HAHA! Example of a Richter Scale?

Poser.

And again, the weather was phenomenal.

The next day... Jeanie and I took the kids to Oaks Park to hang out for the day!

Look! I do exist in photos!

It was a pleasant surprise to see Felicia, MacKenzie and Leighton there that day too!

Train ride with my #1 girl.

Aunt Jeanie and Ashton on the carousel.

A week or so after everyone headed back home, Howie and I took Makenna to the Oregon State Fair! I didn't take many photos since we didn't do a whole lot while we were there except for look around. We weren't smart enough to look at the map and completely missed the kid's rides all together. Lame! Next time we'll be sure to hit those up.

Ok, so maybe I only took pictures of her riding a horse and this one is my favorite. :)

A week or so after the State Fair I wanted to take Makenna to the beach for the day. So, we invited Rachelle and Ariana to come with us! We made the mistake of going the weekend of the largest beach volleyball tournament the the Oregon Coast hosts. BIG MISTAKE. It took us almost an hour just to find a place to park and we didn't end up staying that long since it was packed everywhere. We did end up finding a nice spot on the beach and let the girls play.

You can't go to Seaside without riding the carousel!

Beach fun.

AND.. the last August Adventure was the Molalla Buckeroo! We were invited to go by Eric & Rachelle, they had some extra tickets. :)

Goofy girls.

Phew! August was busy!
