28 months!

Since it's been a while since I've updated the blog, it's hard to remember the new things that Makenna does these days. She has definitely become her own little person this summer. She's talking like crazy and will hold a conversation with you! She is hilariously funny still.. wonder where she gets that from? Ha ha.. She is just a happy little girl!

27 Months!

Wow! It has been a really busy summer! It's such a nice feeling to be home, knowing that we don't have big plans until Thanksgiving. I have once again neglected the blog. In between our trips up to Washington, down to California and moving, I just haven't had the time. So, here I go.. Let's see how much I can update in one day. :)

Memorial Day Weekend...

We went camping over Memorial Day weekend with some great friends. It was different because we didn't do our usual (camping at a state or federal park), we got invited to go camping off of a forest service near Timothy lake. I was skeptical at first because I'm deathly afraid of the forest at night... but it was so much fun! We could be as loud as we wanted, run the generator as late as we wanted and the kids could run around without the parents worrying too much. :) We didn't take too many pictures but here are some that we did!

We were the first ones to the campsite so we got all set up and started taking pictures, being silly!

I love that she's looking up at Daddy! This is Robbie... Our friend Chad's son. Isn't he handsome? He LOVED Makenna. ;)Our set-up... Where we were camping was huge! This picture only shows a 1/4 of it.All of the guys, boys and Makenna decided to venture out in the woods to check out the creek. This is a great picture!

It was a fantastically fun weekend with great friends! We hope to do it again soon!

Calaveras County Fair!

The day after Oldma's 60th birthday bash we headed to the Calaveras County Fair! You can check it out here: http://www.frogtown.org/. It was hot and humid but it definitely beats rainy & cold! We had intended to get to the fair and rent some bullfrogs to jump but we got to the fair too late to register (we were given wrong information). Oh well, we'll rent a frog next year. :)

Makenna loves to go on "wees". That's what she calls slides... The was the biggest "wee" she has been on!

She looked petrified when she got to the bottom but the minute it was over she wanted to go again!

Gage & Ashton were able to ride every ride over and over again! They lucked out and got free unlimited passes!

She got to meet Smokey the Bear! She was so excited and still talks about him. :)

We hopped on this little train that took you around the fairgrounds.. It was cute.

Another awesome weekend in California.. We can't wait until August where we get to spend 5 nights in South Lake Tahoe for some birthday celebrations!

Oldma turns 60!!!!

Well, we packed up the car and headed south again! I tell you.. all this driving is getting exhausting! It's well worth it though. :) So, Jeanie had a big sha-bang planned for Oldma's 60th. Lots of black balloons, a wheel chair, good friends and lots of beer. It was awesome! Even Grandma & Grandpa Howard made the 15+ hour drive to partake in the festivities. The time went by fast but we had a great time. We even got to go to the Calaveras County Fair where they have the frog jump! You'll see those pictures in the next post.
