16 months......

Can you believe it? Our little girl is already 17 months old. Why does time have to go by so quickly? We enjoy watching her grow but it's bittersweet. Why can't she stay tiny and fragile a little longer??

Camping at Clear lake

Howie and I decided to plan a last minute camping trip up to Clear lake for the 4th of July weekend. We invited our friends to come but they couldn't make it. So, it was just the three of us and we enjoyed ourselves! The weather couldn't have been better and our site was awesome! We were pleasantly surprised since we've never camped there before. We will definitely be planning a future trip.. who's coming with us??? :)

She's a dipper... just like her mama! Who's out there? "What is in this bottle that makes my hair stand straight up?"

Makenna experienced her first time swimming in a lake! She loved it and couldn't get enough! Daddy took her out each time cause the water was just too cold for Mommy... I'm more of a wimp then Makenna!!

She almost tipped over! Howie had to run up to the campsite to get towels so Makenna and I took a few pictures.... Ha ha.... Makenna hanging out... This picture was blurry so I dressed it up in sepia. :)The last day we were there we decided to go fishing... It was ridiculousy windy so we had no such luck. I was too busy chasing Makenna and trying to get her to not run full speed into the lake! Makenna's new obsession? Rocks. Holding them, throwing them, attempting to put them in her mouth.. YAY FOR ROCKS!Makenna says it's time to go!!!

Makenna's new pool(s)!!!

I know I said in my last post that videos of Makenna playing on her Oldpa & Oldma's deck would be the next post but I'm temporarily misplaced them. I'll figure out what memory card they're on and they'll be here shortly. :) In the meantime.... I have some great pictures of Makenna playing in her new pools! I had initially bought Makenna a tiny toddler pool that was afraid. Remember the picture of her clinging onto her Uncle Luke?? Well, she's learned to love it! Daddy helped ease her into it and to see Howie in this tiny pool is pretty hilarious. :)

After a couple of weeks of playing in this pool, we decided to get Makenna something a little bigger that she could have more fun in. We went to Walmart and found the cutest pool! It has a slide on one side and a dolphin on the other. You can hook up the hose and water shoots out of the dolphin. Makenna isn't a huge fan of that yet since the water that comes out is super cold!
